Judging
As a rider and competitor for more than 30 years and the Vice President of the Rhode Island Horseman's
Association, I have decided to take what I have learned and observed,
and put that knowledge to use as an official hunter, jumper and equitation judge.
I have been officially approved as an NEHC "2" Hunter/Jumper judge, which means that I can judge
B and C-rated RIHA/NEHC shows (as well as schooling shows) for the 2008/2009 season!
As part of the application process, I learner-judged at several shows including Grazing Fields,
Mystic Valley Hunt Club, Sandy Point, Cornerstone Farm, etc. In my first year I judged several RIHA-rated shows (Glen Farm, Phoenix Rising), an NEHC-rated show
(Sara Oden Memorial), many schooling shows (HObby Horse Farm, Phoenix Rising, Hunter Ridge), and the Woodstock Fair. I truly love judging and hope to judge as much as I can in the years to come!
